Certificate distribution and launching ceremony of "Resource Book for Trekking Guides" program was successfully held at NTB on 24 February 2023. The program was held in presence of Mr. Rudra Prasad Chapagain (Executive Director of Nepal Mountain Academy), Dr. Dhananjaya Regmi (Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board), Mr. Shiva Adhikari (President of NARA), Mr. Mani Lamichhane (Director of Nepal Tourism Board), Kalpana Sarkar (Portfolio Manager of UNDP), and officials representing their respective organization.
Total 112 trainees were awarded with the Trekking Guide Certificate who successfully completed their Trekking Guide Training Course jointly organized by Nepal Mountain Academy and Nepal Tourism Board for females only from 11 December 2022 to 16 January 2023.
Also, the book "Resource Book for Trekking Guides" which is based on the syllabus of the trekking guide training course, was officially launched during the event. This book seeks to advance the general comprehension of trekking knowledge and abilities among trekking guides and contributes to raising the standard of services in Nepal's trekking and mountaineering sector.
